Sorry it's only 5 questions! But I'm not some full-time psychiatrist who does these kinds of things as a job! (=
1) You have a major exam a few days from now, but you're pretty much prepared. What do you do?
a) Freak out!!! Hyperventilate, pace around, study feverishly, things like that.
b) Get a little nervous. Sometimes I feel that I've forgotten stuff I've learned and worry about things that could go wrong on the day of the exam.
c) Kick back and relax. Go on Facebook, enjoy a Magnum. There's nothing to worry about since I'm prepared. No sweat.
2) One of your family members seems to have a case of the runs. What do you do?
a) Panic and immediately conclude that it could be an infectious disease.
b) Stay calm enough to keep my composure but I'll still be concerned that it could be serious or that the person is feeling a lot of discomfort.
c) Give the person a Panadol and reassure them that it's just a small chill they caught outside.
3) Do you feel worried or bothered until you finish your to-do's?
a) Yup. I just feel dissatisfied that I still have things to do and I can't get my mind off them until they're done.
b) Sometimes, but it's not so bad, especially if it's not a lot of to do's.
c) Nah--what is there to be bothered about? It's just to-do's.
4) Are you worried by small tests or pop quizzes?
a) To be frank, YES. Even though they might only count as a morsel or even nothing of our overall mark.
b) I'm not totally sure--somewhere in between.
c) Oh, they're nothing. No biggee. No worries.
5) Even when you're about to sleep, do you still worry about the next day?
a) Duh. My mind's always in a whir of worries. From my studies, to crimes, to global warming.
b) I don't worry about that many things, most of the time nothing at all.
c) As I always say, "What's the use of worrying? What's going to happen is going to happen."
~~~
I think the results are pretty obvious, but oh well---
If majority of your answers are 'a':
A severe case of chronic worry. Sometimes you feel like your brain is crammed to the brim with worries.
If majority of your answers are 'b':
You find it hard to decide whether you're a worrier or not. That's because you're an in-between. Big things can worry you--small things, not so much.
If majority of your answers are 'c':
You're so worry-free and care-free to the point where it's a li-ttle scary... d:
If all you worriers out there like myself are hunting for a cure, I'm sorry to say that the chronic worrier syndrome IS chronic. It's just the way we are. We can always make ourselves feel a little better sometimes, but it always seems to come back. Try to keep in mind that line: "What's the use of worrying? What's going to happen is going to happen."
