Liv ur Life

The story of a socially awkward underdog

Here's a compilation of everyday occurrences that truly frighten me:
  • When I answer the phone and a freaky-sounding dude starts talking in rapid Mandarin/Chinese dialect (in the end it is either one of my Uncles or the Air-conditioning service person)
  • Walking past the MRT construction site and seeing the workers giving us a cold/suspicious stare (like we're aliens, or criminals, or... TRESPASSERS...)
  • When those crazy people come recklessly streaming towards you on bicycles on a pedestrian-only route!!
  • When I'm at the store and I walk by that random American man/lady who is singing quite loudly along to the unknown song playing over the P.A. system
  • Walking past those people who stand outside shops handing out flyers (Are they going to shove one right into my hands? Are they going to pester me to take one? Will they be nice enough to leave me alone?)
  • When a foreign lady pops out of nowhere and asks me to take a photograph for her (What if she's a spy? A crook? A secret agent? And if she's caught for breaking the law I'll get dragged into it as well because of that one picture I took for her!!!)
  • Hearing lizards making those weird sounds near my window while I'm trying to fall asleep (sends icy shivers down my back...)
